Out there in Radioland, are people who never touch their tuning after calling CQ.  They use filters so sharp y'kin hear th' li'l signals holler AAAAGH! when they pass through.

I bet them folks don't have near s'much fun.

And then we have those who believe only in Software Defined Radios.  These are devices which are more computer, than radio.

Operating a REAL radio, however, requires SKILL.

A computer has no skill.  Unless it is the gray one betwixt the ears.

And that's just my two cents.

I'll let summunelse have th' soapbox now.

 P.S. I think one of my next projects will be to get one or
 more of my derelict 
 "ARC-5" transmitters refurbished and on the air. I think I
 have enough parts 
 from three of them to make one working one. At least, I hope
 I do.
