[ARC5] GOOIT Warning

I recently purchased a small "GOOIT" frequency counter on ebay. It's about the size of a pack of cigarettes, to use an ancient means of measure, and covers 50 MHZ to 2.4 GHZ. I have two freq counters, one of which is built into a Tek scope, but I thought this little one could come in handy. With shipping it cost about $20.

I first tested the GOOIT with a 2M FM HT. It worked fine. I then took it over to the airport to use to test an aircraft radio. When transmitting with that AM radio I got nothing but a brief hiccup out of the GOOIT, no frequency display.

I then bought the GOOIT home and did the FM HT test again. Nothing! Display just shows "0.0 No Signal." It no longer works.

So the GOOIT does not seem to work with AM transmitters, and I guess I burned out the front end trying.
