At least it's related....

Was looking on Google for something else BC-348 related earlier, and ran across an old posting to this list about substituting the DM-36 dynamotor in the BC-348.

Perfectly true!  But let's take it a step further.

There was also mention of using a TCS receiver dynamotor in a BC-224.  I haven't checked the TCS manual to see if the B minus lead on that machine really is isolated from ground, as it would have to be for use in a BC-224; however, I know that the DM-34 dynamotor does indeed have the isolated B minus. 

The DM-34 is the 12-14 volt equivalent of the DM-36.  Both the DM-34 and 36 are from the BC-603 and BC-683 tank receivers.

I have a DM-34 on a DM-28 base, ready to install into my BC-224 as soon as I remove a few mods that Alexandre Dumas(s) put into the radio....
