[ARC5] 12VDC Inverter

It depends upon the unit.  Don't know about this one, but I'd suspect it's not good for much.  

However, I had a much older one some years back that was intended for running fluorescent lights of unknown type from 12 volts.  It put out a high voltage at something like 2500 Hz.  By using a tapped-secondary 800 cycle plate transformer, "wired backwards," that had been removed from a TBW-4 transmitter power supply, I was able to get between 105 and 110 volts at enough current to sort-of light up an ARN-7 radio compass receiver.
