One of the more creative tube basing conversions I have seen
is a National Union (read: sleaze) that is pretending to be a 7360.
It is really a 6JH8 (or one of the family) with the pin incompatibility
resolved by having its pins cut very short, and being mounted on
a circular PCB which reroutes some of the tube connections to
pins anchored in the PCB.
Interestingly enough, in a circuit with component values for the 7360
the National Union lookalike worked identically(!).
