Mark,

The principal audio plugs of the era of that equipment were, as you 
surmise, the venerable PL-55 phone plug and the PL-68 mic plug. Both the 
PL-54 and JK-26 were ancillary headset cord plug sets, of course.  The 
Navy did have another nomenclature for these plugs, however.  The 
/original/ H-16 headphones had pin plugs but I don't know which radios 
they may have been used with.  What you have is fine, of course.
