Seriously, I like this, Dave.  The BC-458 will just get inside the bottom of
40m already so for a CW op, it's good as is.  I suspect the BC-457 tunes
down into the top of 80 at least to 3995 KC if not 3885 KC which hits a
couple of AM nets.  

No, who's up for using an unperverted BC-457 on 60m CW?  :-D
