[ARC5] ARC-2 Defines "Broad as a Barn"

Hi
Same problem with the R105/ARR15 clever radio with the variable IF and all, but no selectivity as such. You might want to employ regeneration in one of the IFs. It's an easy scheme to apply and easy to remove and you can set the regen level and leave it set so no holes are required if you leave the pot inside and just glued to something with E6000 glue. This was a common trick back in the "Modify Days" of surplus.
I guess it's time to dig out my ARC2 and fire it up again. Now if I can just find my 28/50 amp supply?

Well, I just tried fo find my copy of the ARC-2 manual, and can't...at this
point. I was reminded that the ARC-2 has a variable IF: i.e., it varies as you
tuned the range. This, of course, makes it unlikely that a "Q-5er" will work
with it.
Secondly, I was also reminded that there is a way to non-destructively
narrow up the IF by "adjusting" some coupling capacitors or parallel
resistances in the circuit, but I have no details on that either.
Still looking...
