[ARC5] What the......?

The VHF sets had both, John, beginning with the R-112/ARC-5 and 
R-113/ARC-5.  The front end was composed of four 7 pin miniatures (three 
9003s and a 9002 oscillator) and was virtually unchanged in the R-19 and 
later sets.  There may have been a perception about greater vibration 
resistance for the lower frequency tubes, or perhaps they were less 
expensive...I can only speculate.
