Those are franchise stores and the owners can carry other items besides what
is on the mandatory list. Up here in NH there are 2 co owned stores in
adjoining towns with a different inventory in many categories. A 5 minute
drive one way or the other results in satisfaction most of the time.
OTOH it is a similar drive the other way to a well stocked hobby shop where
Im always finding something new....usually at inflated prices....so I try
True Value first.

Thats interesting John I frequency many true value and Ace hardware stores
in se PA and Northern VA and have never seen such tubing. Does not mean you
are wrong....
