That may be more difficult than simply changing the entire tuning capacitor: 4
bolts, 4 soldered joints, and out it comes.

There were a 190 - 550 Khz job, and a 520 - 1500 Khz job. The R-11(*) is
the MF version and the R-10(*) is the BC band version. I have one of each.
All others are VHF.

No. A dial from a BC-453 or R-23.

Well, it also looks to me as though he has spent some time cleaning them up
and polishing them.
