"Q-Dope (or homebrew equivalent) have enough strength for the job?"  I 
would think so.

To many hits on Google - I seem to remember that someone did an 
extensive expirment with many kinds of glues to fix the windings on a RF 
Coil, comparing to an Air wound coil;
