[ARC5] B-17 Command sets

I went through a B-17 that was at our airport last week and took pics of the
radio equipment.  They did a good job of the static display complete with
plugs and wiring.  I can send pics to anyone that is interested or put them
on drop box if allowed by this list.  Ken, the pics that you saw are correct
- 2 xmitters on top,three rx underneath.  On the left side on the top shelf
was the modulator and underneath was the BC 348 rx.

    I know this has been asked and answered, I have seen a lot of the
pictures of the radios on a B-17.  On the right side, There a 2 labeled as
"Command Set transmitters", and below that 3 labeled as "Command set
Receivers" right below them.  What were they, and was that normal for
B-17's?
