Those along with the small rubber cup version are heaven compared to those
HS-16s. The only problem I have with several of the ones here (all
well-used) is the wire to one earpiece is intermittent right where it exits
the leather headband. Need to find some replacement headbands.

You can clamp the wires under those tiny screws on the PL-55 plugs without
soldering if you have a little patience and good eyesight. A belt or two of
a good single malt helps steady the hand.

As nice as the chamois cushions are, the most comfortable pair I ever wore
was at field day one year. Same headphones I believe but they had large
rubber cushions that resembled suction cups. Nice seal and virtually zero
pressure. Have never been able to find a pair, only the smaller rubber cups
or the abundant chamois type.
