I used to convert various 60-80's era Jags to Chevy V-8 power and soon
learned to rewire as much as possible using GM parts, even complete
harnesses and relays pulled out at the junkyard and adapted.

The Jags had superb handling, brakes, and upholstery, but the rest.......YUK
In New England even the bodies were rotting away after 10-15 or so years and
it was hard finding good ones.

I eventually switched to putting Fords into RWD Volvos.
