[ARC5] Goring Quote

I believe it was Hermann Goring that said when the U.S. entered the war against Germany, "Don't worry about the Americans. They make good Chevrolets and razor blades but they can't build anything else."

In March 1944, when P-51B's showed up over Berlin, a Luftwaffe officer looked up and said, "I wish we had some of those Chevrolets."

Another memorable quote came from when a Luftwaffe officer visited Willy Messerschmitt in 1941 and told him they were pleased with his 109 fighter but wanted something with more range and more power.

Willy told him, "Impossible! You can either build a fighter plane or you can build a barn door!"

A few years later the two men were riding on a train in Germany when it came to an abrupt stop and they had to jump off and dive for a ditch as P-47's strafed the train.

The officer said to Willy, "Well, there are those barn doors you were talking about."
