Yes. I am watching that. The RR-2 is actually an early model of the
R-1004, the receiver for the '109. He has the receiver frequency
listed as only one band, but it is actually three bands. It covers
from 3 - 22 MHz in fact.

Oh, no. Everyone who has ever wanted one of those things will bid them
far above what I or any reasonable person could possibly pay for them.
I bought mine from Fair Radio Sales back when they were cheap. I wish
I had gotten a "large power supply" at the time.

I bought two transmitters and one receiver and the small power supply,
then.

I have several power sources in addition to the "small" AC power supply
for mine, including a GN-58 hand-cranked generator (which I mounted on
an old exercise-bicycle frame with appropriate gearing so the kids can
pedal it for me.)

I also use a DY-88 dynamotor (with an appropriate interface box), which is
the normal power supply for the AN/GRC-9. Input to the DY-88 is 6, 12, or
24 VDC, and it makes the most delightful singing noise when it is in
operation.

And I also have one of those tiny gas-engine generators for it
(PE-163?). And I have all the approriate cabling too.

They are great fun. :-)
