The B-10A converter is, I'm pretty sure, the device which takes the demodulated VOR signal information from the receiver and then drives the indicator, which is a panel instrument for the pilot. The indicator contains at least one synchro motor.

I have a complete ARN-30 system amongst my junque, but haven't ever opened up the B-10A to see what's inside. I did take the case off the indicator; it's one of those electromechanical marvels.

The B-10A sits beside the receiver, on the right side of what appears to be a dual Command receiver rack except there are two round connectors plugging into the rear of the B-10A.

Not sure whether the ARN-30 feeds the ILS indicators, but I don't think so....

Someone here, I believe, asked me
what an ARC model B-10A converter was
for: after doing some looking at various sources, it appears
 that the B-
10A was an early VOR to ILS converter for the Type 15 ARC
 equipment, the
 ARN-30.

There are others here who are far more expert at this
 equipment than I
 am.
