A schematic diagram I have of the ARC R-11A Type 12 MF receiver shows a
notation on it near the antenna input. To wit:
"LONG ANT (NOTE 5)" then "SHORT ANTENNA (NOTE 5)" and "C-601 50
(60MMF) (NOTE 12)"
There are no "notes" on the schematic, and I cannot find them in my copy of
the ARC Type 12 maintenance manual.
Does anyone here have any idea to what this all refers?
How long or short are the long and short antennas?
An interesting thing I did find in the manual, though, states that the R-11A
MF receiver, and the R-10A BC band receiver, should test with a sensitivity
of less than 1 microvolt when properly aligned.
I am wondering if the 14S7 is a "quieter" mixer than the 12K8?
