Replacing the "glass" isn't the hard part: getting the scale on it is. I don't have 
an answer for you on that one: sorry.

I use "Mother's Mag and Aluminum Wheel Cleaner" on mine. Makes them 
just beautiful.

Not necessary for most.I use 400 VDC .047 MFD metalized film types and 
connect them directly where they are needed. I can send you a couple of 
photos of those I've done.

Unless you intend to operate your receiver from a dynamotor, you can 
dispense with the triple .22 MFD job (C-16A/B/C), L-14 and L-15, and C-32 
completely.

Of course, it won't hurt anything to leave the chokes in place, but although all 
of my present receivers have been severely hacked, I have yet to find any of 
the can-caps that are good.
