Mike,

I'm doing yet another BC-454-A right now. I but the caps from Mouser in
100 quantity. I use the inexpensive .05's (Mouser p/n 5989-630V.056-F)
mostly and the small 450v radial electrolytic types. On several sets,
I've mounted those small teflon stud type standoffs, but now I try and
install the components back where they actually go to. I just follow
the wires back to theor origin. Using the much smaller moders caps,
space is not an issue. I also use the ground tabs available at both ends
of each of those component mounting strips. Where there are several
wires, then the insulated post works fine. I also install a gnd lug on
each post for those times when I wire the cap from the tube socket, or
whatever over to ground. Small Parts has the identical #3-48 hardware,
if you need some. The thing looks kind of empty when you're done but
they sure work better!
