You've got a point there, all right. I haven't yet checked this thing that closely, 
since, so far, for my uses it has certainly been "close enough".

I do have an AN/URM-90, a BECO, and at least two other laboratory grade 
bridges here which I could use to check this thing, but so far, have not had a 
need to set them up.
