Ray,

Thanks.

Does anyone know which spline keys are needed or Command Set receivers?

Thanks,

Mike and ARc-5-ers,

I examined a T-22 ARC-5 7-9.1 mc transmitter here, with my Xcelite spline key and hex key sets handy. Here is what I found:

Front Panel:
 - FREQUENCY knob (main tuning) AND antenna COUPLING knob: 99-65 4 flute spline
 - Three LOCK knobs: HEX 1/16 inch (NOT spline)

Underside:
 - Flexible main tuning shaft collars: HEX 1/16 inch
 - Middle variable cap (Final tuning trim cap) and two driven variable cap split gear hubs: 99-63 4 flute spline

Topside, Oscillator variable cap trimmer adjust: 99-63 4 flute spline

I don’t have available any receivers. Maybe someone else can investigate and post to the list.

For information, here is a cross reference, Bristol Wrench Company to Xcelite type 99 blades:
Bristol Wrench Co. Xcelite blade #
.060-6 9962
.069-4 9963
.076-4 9965
.096-6 9966

Bristol Wrench Company:

(NOT Bristol Tool Company)

The Xcelite spline wrench kit is:
99PS-60 Brtisol Multiple-Spline Screwdriver Set, 11 pieces
The set includes a screwdriver type handle.

Tee handle: 99-4
Five inch extension: 99-X5

Genuine Bristol Wrench Company short and long L-wrenches, and handle-mounted spline drivers are available at
Max Gain Systems company. (they also sell antenna masts and other goodies):

The Xcelite sets or individual drivers and handles are available at many sources. I have a notes file that tells more.
