[ARC5] FCC General exam

  A few years ago I saw a question on one test about Schotty diodes'
 I believe it was something like "why do hams use Schottly diodes in RF mixers.
The correct answer was not even there. The "correct answer" was because they
have lower capacitance. 
  Ends up that PN diodes and Schottly diodes that have same physical sized have
about the same capacitance. 
  The real answer is that Schotty diodes do not have a recovery time after being
forward biased as PN diodes. 
  Another reason is the lower forward diode drop.
I don't think they ever removed the question until they changed the question
pool. Sometimes I have to wonder who the experts are that determine the question
pools. And how they can make so many mistakes. It seems to me that each question 
, especially the technical ones, deserves some research. Not just reliance on the persons
memory.

  What is the answer with out looking it up.

 G3C02 Where on the Earth do ionospheric layers reach their maximum height?
 A. Where the Sun is overhead
 B. Where the Sun is on the opposite side of the Earth
 C. Where the Sun is rising
 D. Where the Sun has just set
