While listening to my BC454 on 75 meters the other evening the receiver
seems to have lost its sensitivity.  I can still hear some strong signals if
I listen real closely. I use to run the gain control only about ¾ of the way
open and now wide opens makes no difference.  I started working backwards
front the front end towards the IF with my signal generator.  I suspect a
cap has either shorted out or opened somewhere. The tubes all check out so
far.  Any ideas if this is a common problem or not?
