If wire "by the book," they did not have this capability
and I've never seen an exception documented,
but "never say never." I do wire mine with a "netting" switch.

The Command radios were set by the Radio Mechanic
before a mission and normally left where tuned throughout.
The Radio Ops* checked the sets to see that they were on
the assigned freqs and operated correctly, but otherwise
did not often mess with the Command Sets at all
other than to log all communications by the pilots through them.
The Nav sets, having no corresponding Transmitter, did not need
to zero-beat one.

* Radio Ops could often also be Radio Mechanics.
