the coastwatchers used a couple of different sets but primarily the 3-B-Z
teleradio made by I think AWA. It was considered a miracle of
miniaturization at the time, , it broke down into a transmitter, receiver,
powersuppy/speaker, batteries and charging engine and benzine to run the
engine, and could be carried by as few as 25 natives!!!
