Jack and All,
I sold a fairly complete AN/ARC-3 at SLO MRCG a few years back. It had the TX, 2 x Rx's, P.S. with both dynamotors, control head and all connectors. And with R.Downs manual re-pro's.
I hope whomever purchased it got it going or donated it to an aircraft restoration group.

The AN/ARC-3 is fun to watch, as it tunes itself up.
The only manual thing about changing crystals is that
thumbwheel on the receiver has to be set to select
he proper harmonic for tune up. Note that the
et tunes itself up every time the channel is changed.
I had mine set up and running a few years back, and Hank
rown and I had an ARC-3 to ARC-3 QSO at San Luis Obispo.
When I was getting my set running, the biggest problem
as dirty relay contacts. I burnished and cleaned contacts
ver and over, but the more I exercised the set, the more
eliable it became.
It has been probably 5 years since my set was fired up, it
hould be interesting to see how it does now, and it is on
he project list.
