Whatsa Bed Check Charlie?

What kinda gun or guns did the T-6s have.

During my Navy air-to-air gunnery training in 1955, our SNJs had a single Browning 30 cal. firing through the propeller and some kind of 5 or 6 channel VHF transceiver. I remember the control box with red channel pushbuttons.

I think we had T-6s and C-45s in Korea that had ARC-5 VHF units. I remember
seeing them in the radio shop.

We used T-6s for FAC and our wing CO shot down a Bed Check Charlie with a
  T-6.
