In the spirit of that old Southern saying:
"Even a blind hog will find an acorn once in awhile,"
you did get one thing right-  I don't have the slightest interest in
any form of DXCC.  In fact, I've been a ham for over 40 years
and have no idea if I've even earned WAS.
I don't care because I know it can be done and has been done
thousands of times- all you need is time and a fat credit card.
They might as well send the certificates in the plastic radio box;
it's a given.  And as far as doing it on BA gear- photons is photons
and Watts is Watts.  Don't matter how old the generator.
If you can DXCC with a MOSFET PA you can DXCC with an 860.
God Speed and God Bless to anyone who enjoys such things,
but they're just not an interesting challenge to me.
Each his own, ya know......

But there is an important difference, Carl.
I don't assume that people who disagree with me about DXCC
are stupid and incapable, nor do I ridicule them for their interests.
