[ARC5] Using SCR-274N - range

    Some years ago I routinely listened to KSL, a clear-channel station 
in Salt Lake City, from Alexandria, Virginia, using an R-24/ARC-5 
receiver. It was more sensitive than the typical commercial broadcast 
band receiver, and more selective.

     At that time I was doing what was called "beeper phone" interviews 
and reporting from Washington for KSL.

The highway distance is 2,116 miles
