When this stuff was surpluses after WWII no one gave a thought to this stuff 
being COLLECTABLE someday.

The ARC-5/SCR-274 receivers were mostly useless on the crowded ham bands of 
the 50's and 60's so many people tried to make them useful by modifying 
them.

Today unmolested units are the rarity. My opinion is the best you can do is 
take several molested units and combine parts to restore one to original 
cognition or close.

Do people use these in original condition or just look at them?
