[ARC5] Crystals in WWII

I read it too and echo the comments of the others. I will add that I found
some comments interesting that had to do with the justification for the US
moving to crystal control while the enemy did not (except for use in
standards or in-box calibrators). There were some real advantages to
crystal control in a fast moving battlefield or similar tactical situation
such as a dogfight. I also found the solution to the so called "aging"
problem interesting. It led to how crystals are finished today and
provided me with a technique for restoring old FT-243 and other WW2 rocks
for use in my various projects and restorations.

Overall, I found the book sufficiently interesting though one has to wade
through some boring detail to get at the nuggets.
