[ARC5] Inspired Hack Job

That would probably be the "Cheap and Easy SSB exciter by Tony, W2EWL 
you were thinking of.  It was based on a ARC-5/274N TX
  ( http://www.qsl.net/k5bcq/Lorne/w2ewlside.jpg ).  I don't see an 
audio phase inverter (2Q4) in this one, but you never know!
I hope someone buys it and figures it out!
