(From a relatively luddite person who was a very wee babe when the Enola Gay flew):

I am pretty sure that today, many folks who see the aircraft at Washington, DC, may well have in their pocket when they do, "smart phones", which have GPS built in.  I think two things:

1) The navigating used on the mission was apparently good enough.

2) The GPS-enabled phones carried by the visitors may imbue the aircraft with a faint sense of "MY, what advances there have been."
