[ARC5] A part badly needed

Back around 1981 I bought a 1.5- 3 MHZ set for maybe $1.50 at a ham swap meet, my original intention being to salvage it to build a VFO.  It was a sad looking thing, missing a cover and a few other things but as it turned out with only a little work, like replacing a missing tube or two, the radio worked great.

And then it stopped.  Eventually I found the problem was a cold solder joint at the top of one of the sockets for the coil pack.  So, since your problem it is coil pack related, you might check that.
