I agree. All it really needs is a thorough cleaning...depending on what has 
been done below deck.

The power supply is obviously mounted on an old dynamotor base, and the 
adapter in the front looks like one of the somewhat rare originals, or at least, 
most of one.

However, the reason the one he linked to sold for so much was that it was 
essentially NIB and had never been touched.

His has most certainly "been touched", so despite the fact that it is a 
somewhat rare BC band model, I really doubt that it will sell for what the 
other, far less rare, model sold for.

As you say, his asking price IS very optimistic.
