I'm with Mike Morrow re not liking the "cute" phonetics...probably because I use them in my job as well as on ham radio.  I also am orthodox about using the standard  military/ICAO phonetics when spelling things like my name and address during telephone conversations.  Often when using them the person whom I am talking to will say they have not heard those phonetics since they were in the service, and they appreciate my using them.
