Mike,

I can identify with that feeling for sure.  (That's true of my call.)

Are you volunteering for the job?  Here are my suggested parts of the project:

- collect every call book ever printed, Foreign ones, too
- Scan all of them in high res, then OCR the lot.
- Create a data base to digest the information
- Load database using filters, extra data such as call book found in, dates, etc.
- Access all collections of ancient and modern ham and radio publications and QSL cards
- Transcribe QSL cards and periodicals into digital form (like folks do with  tracts.)
- Digest all that data into database.
- Develop Formats for data retrieval and use, develop query system
- publish the whole mongo thing on DVD's (Or heaven forbid "In the Cloud"!)
