I, too, heard the siren song of vanity callsigns. I found that a "W3"
with my initials was available. I went so far as to fill out the
paperwork but got cold feet at the 11th hour. After so many years with
the same callsign, having it ingrained in my mind in CW, it just didn't
seem the thing to do. Yes, I have to send a lot of dits, but I've
survived, somehow. So, we are still who we started out as....
