The rust inspection can prevent CO from entering the auto. All the other inspection stuff is common sense to those who have it. Most these days lack it.

I can easily believe TX, but CA is surprising.
In Taxachusetts, they check everything, including brakes, lights, turn
ignals, wipers, windshield washer, horn, tires, emissions, body rust,
lass, and a bunch more.
Not that it actually does any good except make work for the inspection
tations, who collect hefty fees.
