Excellent suggestion, Dennis. I agree.
BTW, the reason I use VR tubes is because I like the pretty colors.
In point of fact, Zeners work at least as well as VR tubes, but are cooler, and
less prone to oscillation.
However, either VR tubes or Zeners, when used properly, easily achieve 1%
regulation, which is excellent.
