Hi,

That darned coriolis effect may be getting in the way. Clocks run in the
same direction regardless of the bathtub drain vortex on both sides of
the equator. However, counter clockwise translates to anti clockwise in
some locations. we may be separated by a common language.

I missed out on the Army thing about an other left. When I was in Navy
boot camp we had a guy the who was barely making it. Looking back I
wonder if he was a schill placed in our company to make *everybody* else
feel better about their own learning curve.

During drill one day that guy happened to be in the next column, second
man behind me. We heard the order barked out loud and clear "by the left
flank - Harch!" You just know that guy turned right and had a head-on
collision with the biggest guy in the company. Both men came to an
immediate halt and then fell backward onto the ground behind them.
Warner Brothers never ever showed any of their cartoon characters doing
anything that slapstick ridiculous looking. The Three Stooges had
nothing on that act. Three companies of men marching in formation all
lost it. Nobody - including the company commanders could even talk from
laughing so hard. I had a front row position to that event. Nothing was
hurt except that guy's pride. Company commanders played that event for
everything they could squeeze out of it..after they regained their
composure.
