Sorry so quick- a fast post between tasks.

I had an SCR-183 transmitter with a tuning unit 
converted to crystal which had a 3023.5 crystal in it.
Go figure that one ;-).

3023.5 Allocated to search & Rescue?
Today, "HF Government Freq. Allocation" 
means 95% probablility the frequency will
never be used.  Most of the HF spectrum is
utterly wasted by egotistical 'crats guarding unused "turf."
