Hmmm....well, since I parked this thing on the output frequency of my signal 
generator, it hasn't drifted one bit. What I tuned to several hours ago is still 
centered. The frequency is 28.565 MHz. according to my frequency counter.

The BFO, however, drifts like crazy...and rings too, although not as badly as 
the tuning cap did. That was horrid.

I am very pleased that I have finally made some significant progress. For 
awhile, I wanted to give up.
