A.R.C. produced 50 sets of RAT, which operated on 12 VDC,
and 50 sets of RAT-1, which operated on 24 VDC.
A "set" was two receivers, a rack, control box and accessories.
The one I've been fiddling with just now is RAT-1.
There is an (in)famous surplus sales add out there
somewhere that says they have some hundreds of "RAT"
sets to sell. This is matter of mis-identification
by someone doing inventory without knowledge of his stock.
That only 50 sets each were built is confirmed.
Less than ten of each of the four models of
RAT and RAT-1 receivers are known to have survived.
IIRC, only 5 of the 20-27 RAT sets are known
to still exist.
