[ARC5] Filament Power Sources

Hi,

I had mentioned changing the output voltage of a heavy 5 volt power
supply to 13.8. I found an old note about that power supply. It was a 12
volt supply intended to provide 12.0000000 volts and I changed a
resistor so it could be adjusted to 13.8 Volts. I did NOT tweak it from
5 Volts all the way to 13.8 Volts. The pot wouldn't make it go past
about 12.3 volts. The supply was for 75 amps. I never even got it more
than lukewarm (grin). I installed a meter and shunt to monitor the
current and the meter maxed out at 30 Amps. I *never* pinned that meter.
