Gentlemen,

Although I cannot be absolutely sure,  I believe that this equipment MAY 
be a consignment that I traded to a ham in Washington state about 8 
years ago.  I bought a complete, all new in the boxes, RU/GF system from 
a local estate-liquidator here in the DC area. The system was bought 
from a Chicago surplus dealer in 1949, so stated on the sales slip.  The 
original owner had kept it around for all those intervening years.  I 
mulled over it for about a year as to what to do with it.  Keep it, 
as-is, or put it on the air.  In the end, I traded it for something I 
would really use and traded the system for an as-new BC-375 with all the 
accoutrements and accessories.  I still have the book copies (originals 
sent along) with, I recall, the serial numbers.  The only thing missing 
was the length of flex cable, to be cut on site.  The end ferrules were 
there, however.  Again, it sure looks like the thing I had.......
