[ARC5] Cleaning Capacitor Oil Leakage

Well, I brought this up since a professional mechanic friend for the city of Santa Cruz road dept. who is also a classic car and motorcycle restorer and enthusiast uses this stuff like it's rainwater. Does not harm paint or rubber and you all know brake parts have to be internally clean as a whistle to perform well.
YMMV and yes you get a buzz and headach if you breath this stuff.

Dave,
When you wake up and have a few aspirins, you might try
brake cleaner. Read all the dope on the can though and use
in a well ventillated area like outdoors.

I looked at the MSDS for a couple; an interesting
ocktail of solvents there. Carburetor cleaner has some of
he same and some different solvents. Also, there is engine
tarting fluid, which has ether in it which is a pretty
ffective solvent for some things. Just don't breath any of
his stuff and don't let anyone light any cigars around you.
