[ARC5] sub for 12A6

I can remember a private exchange with Mike Hanz a few years back where I
was all excited at the thought of having purchased some NOS 12V dynamotors
for these radios, and how that was going to solve all my problems with high
voltage, blowing up old caps, and so on.
Then after a couple exchanges with Mike offering me several alternatives (I
really want to use the dynamotors, noise or not), it dawned on me that even
though the INPUT voltage was half, the OUTPUT specs were basically the same
as the 28V version. Uh....*smack*!
Like a lot of folks, I want to be able to use these rigs in the present
without having to change or modify a lot of things. Tubes swaps are great,
but finding a way to use the dynamotor reliably without either doing damage
or losing performance (as in 'most', not 'some') is something I've yet to
get my head around. Most folks bypass it with an outboard supply.
I blame it on a nice ART-13 station I saw running at a hamfest back in 1998
or so, dynamotor and all. As amazing as the auto tune was, hearing that
dynamotor spool up every time he keyed was pretty cool.
